If you’re willing to wait for the 2023 version of the Chevrolet Corvette to appear, you’ll find a couple of special packages for this car.
This version marks the 70th anniversary of the first Corvette, which is a big deal. Chevy offers a special commemorative edition called the 70th Anniversary model for the 3LT trim that comes in either the coupe or convertible body style. This celebratory version isn’t all you’ll find for the new ‘Vette; the 2023 model will also give us a performance package.
Finally, the Z06 Package Arrives for the C8 Corvette
We love the mid-engine build of the C8 Corvette, but since it arrived, it’s been missing one thing, a Z06 high-performance package. This new package arrives for the 2023 model year. This new version of the sports car we love will have a large 5.5-liter V8 engine to give us 670 horsepower and a sound we haven’t heard in this car for a long time. As you would expect, there’s also an optional Z07 package that adds aerodynamic elements, reduces weight, and upgrades the controls you need when you take this car out on the track.
Buy the Current Model if You Don’t Want to Wait
The alternative to waiting until the Z06 model of the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette arrives is to purchase a 2022 version. This isn’t such a bad tradeoff at all. The C8 build is present and strong in this model, giving you the look, performance, and sporty nature you desire in your Chevy sports car. Check out the shortened nose, the impressive mid-engine configuration, and the guttural sounds of the thrillingly powerful V8 engine. You certainly won’t be disappointed with what you find in the 2022 version of the Corvette.
How Much do Corvettes Cost?
One of the top priorities for Chevrolet when building the C8 model was to keep the price in line with the outgoing C7 version. The base coupe model of this Corvette starts at $60,900, with the convertible asking you to spend $68,400. The 2LT trim starts at $68,200 for the coupe and $75,200 for the convertible. If you go all the way to the 3LT trim, you’ll spend $72,850 for the coupe and $79,850 for the convertible. You’ll be hard-pressed to find another mid-engine sports car that is this affordable, but you can certainly try.
Can You Daily Drive Your Chevrolet Corvette?
Something you’re sure to admire about this impressive sports car is how easy it is to drive every day. While you will pay a lot for the gas, it can be fun to show off and drive this car wherever you want to go. Just like any other car, if you want to keep it in top condition, you need to maintain it properly. If you drive it every day, that means a little more care when selecting a parking spot, checking the lights, and understanding how the weather could impact your ride.
Is a Corvette Fun to Drive?
If the Chevrolet Corvette weren’t fun to drive, it would not have lasted 70 years. This car is the first of its kind to have the engine in the middle and not the front. The power and performance are incredible, especially when you consider the price of this car. There are several drive modes, including Tour, Weather, Sport, and Track, to give you the settings you want. If none of these modes offer the drive you desire, the Z-Mode is a customizable option that allows you to build a personalized driving profile.

The Corvette mates to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to give you the quick-shifting performance you want and need at the track. This is a car that brings you power and pleasure on the road. The fuel mileage isn’t too shabby; it reaches 15 city/27 hwy mpg, which means you’ll enjoy this car even more on the open road.
