There’s a Large Menu for You with the RAM 1500

One of the most popular and advanced half-ton trucks in the market today is the Ram 1500. This truck can be ideal for work or play, and it’s made for both. When you’re visiting your local Ram dealer, you’re going to quickly find out that you need assistance choosing the right version of this truck because the 2022 model year offers you 14 different models, to choose from.

What Are The Trims of this Truck?

We might not go over all 14 trims of this Ram truck, but we can at least name them all, which gives you an idea of what you’ll be facing when you head to the dealer. The names are Tradesman, HFE (High Fuel Economy), Big Horn, Lone Star, Rebel, Laramie, Longhorn, Longhorn SouthFork, Limited 1500 (Red), Limited 10th Anniversary Edition, Limited Back Country, TRX, and TRX Ignition.

More Choices You’ll Have to Make

If selecting one truck from among 14 different trims in the Ram 1500 isn’t enough for you, you’ll also have four different powertrains to choose from, making it a bit of a dizzying experience for you to find the right truck. You’ll see a mild-hybrid eTorque 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6, a 5.7-liter Hemi V8, and a 6.2-liter supercharged V8. Thankfully, all versions of this truck make use of an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Why Should You Choose this Ram?

Not only do you have tons of configurations for the half-ton Ram, but you’ll also find several qualities that make it the truck you want to drive. This truck has an available air suspension, an intuitive Uconnect infotainment system, tons of storage places in the cab and the bed, and the toughness you want when you see the Ram name.

Put the Trailer in the Right Place

Have you noticed that you often arrive at your destination with a trailer when it’s dark outside?
This can make putting a trailer where you want difficult, but the Ram 1500 comes with a solution. If you have the Trailer Tow Group on your truck, you’ll have an LED light that illuminates the trailer hitch area to help you see it in your camera view while backing up. The darkness never seemed so bright as when you have this item on your truck.

Going Down Some of the Features

Covering all the features of every trim of this truck would take a long time, so we’re just going to give you the highlights.

Tradesman (Quad Cab)

  • 18-inch wheels
  • 23-gallon gas tank
  • Active grille shutters
  • Coil-spring suspension
  • Trailer-sway control
  • Heated/power side mirrors
  • Ram Clean Air System

Limited 10th Anniversary Edition

You’ll find there are more options, more packages, and more selections you need to make when you head to your local Ram dealer, but these are the highlights that you’ll find when you shop for the Ram 1500. Also, this truck is offered in either Quad Cab or Crew Cab models; there isn’t a regular cab version for you to drive.

Find the Benefits of the Uconnect 5 System

Every version of the Uconnect infotainment system has been much better than the previous version, and that’s the case with the new Uconnect 5 system. This item is standard, starting at the Big Horn trim level. The system is four times faster than the outgoing package, and it has three times the memory. You’ll have Wi-Fi and tow-specific navigation and can upgrade to the large 12-inch touchscreen to have the big view you want to see.

Looking at the Power of the Ram 1500

You know there are four engines, but you don’t know how much power they offer. Let’s remedy that right now.

  • 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 – 305 horsepower, 269 lb.-ft. of torque
  • 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 – 260 horsepower, 480 lb.-ft. of torque
  • 5.7-liter Hemi V8 – 395 horsepower, 410 lb.-ft. of torque
  • 6.2-iter supercharged Hemi V8 – 702 horsepower, 650 lb.-ft. of torque

All four powertrains can be had with 4WD, and the maximum payload for this truck is 2,300 pounds while trailering maxes out at 12,750 pounds.
