The Ford F-150 Raptor Receives Some Improvements

The Ford F-150 Raptor Receives Some Improvements

Ahead of the upcoming specialized model, the Ford F-150 Raptor has been upgraded to give off-roaders more of what they want.

The truck that you choose when you’re going to travel across the desert and dunes is the Raptor. This F-150 is packed with power, performance, capability, and hardcore off-road qualities that can make the drive perfect for you. If you’re looking for adventure, take a look at this amazing truck today.

What Do We See in the New Raptor?

For the 2021 version of the Ford F-150 Raptor, we seea desert-running suspension, 37-inch tires, more connectivity, and the mobile generator item that’s part of the rest of the F-150 lineup. For now, this truck will continue to use the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that should continue to make 450 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. of torque. The compression ratio has been improved for this year and the driving range on a single tank of gas should be nearly 500 miles.

Enjoy Various Driving Settings and a Great Sound

Another upgrade offered for the Raptor is a new active-valve exhaust that features a “trombone loop” which gives this truck a deeper sound coming out of the exhaust. You can enjoy fourdriving levels to create the sound you want which are Quiet, Normal, Sport, and Baja.

The Raptor Suspension Gives You a Great Ride

The five-link rear suspension offered in the Ford F-150 Raptor gives you longer trailing arms, a Panhard rod, and 24-inch springs to make the ride better and give you more wheel travel when you’re faced with tough obstacles. We see the Fox internal bypass shocks being used for this truck which givesyou the benefits of Live Valve tech which can change the damping rate up to 500 times per second.

Go Over Every Obstacle with the Raptor

The standard version of the Ford F-150 Raptor has 35-inch tires which give you 12 inches of ground clearance and 14 inches of wheel travel at the front. The rear axles boast 15inches of wheel travel to make it much easier for you to handle your time on the sand. If you have the 37-inch tires on this truck, the ground clearance increases to 13.1 inches.

So Many Great Features in this Ford

When you need to operate your camping gear, the Pro Power Onboard system gives you 2 kW of power for tools or gear. The interior of the Raptor has much of the same items as the rest of the F-150 models with two 12-inch displays, comfortable seats, and a large cabin filled with storageareas for your stuff.

Set the drive of the Raptor to the selectable driving mode you want and handle the terrain in Slippery, Tow/Haul, Sport, Normal, Off-Road, Baja, or Rock Crawl settings. These upgrades to the Raptor are great to see as we look forward to the Ford F-150 Raptor R that will arrive next year. Get out on the trails, head to the desert, and take this truck to the wilderness for a great time in the great outdoors.
