“A face only a mother could love”, is a great way to describe some of the car modifications that seem to be terrible to most of us.
The owner, and probably the person that installed the car mod, might like what they’ve done, but to the rest of us, they are just terrible. Let’s take a look at five that can be considered terrible so that you can plan to avoid them.
Lift Kits –One of the Worst Car Modifications
The only time its cool to lift a car is when you’re going to use that car in a monster truck rally. Otherwise, your Cadillac, Buick, or Ford land yacht just looks terrible up on stilts. It’s fine to have a lift kit for a truck when you want to have some fun on the trails and enter monster truck shows, but otherwise, stay away from them, they are one of the worst car modifications.
Rolling Coal –One of the Car Modifications that Shows You Don’t Care
When your truck or car burins so much fuel that it billows out black smoke and blinds the other drivers, you’re truly entering an area of being a neighbor nobody wants to have around. Some will modify a diesel truck to burn this fuel and it not only makes them the ire of their neighbors, it can shorten the life of the engine.
Brand Sticker Decals –Are You Getting Paid for Car Modifications?
Unless you’re getting paid by the company that made the parts for your car, why would you put their name on your ride? You’re not racing, being endorsed, or under contract with these companies. Stop putting the names of every company you buy a part from that you put on your car and let the smoothness of the paint be uninterrupted by logos and lettering.
Loud Exhaust –The Ultimate Terrible Car Mod
Why do so many people want to have a loud exhaust on their cars? This item only serves to tell people to look at you when you drive by and many will not be pleased. Unless you’re looking for a large number of rude hand gestures, you’re going to keep your exhaust as quiet as you can. If you want to have something loud and showy, buy a Harley, that’s a cool loud exhaust.
Exterior Neon Lighting –You Can’t Even See this Car Mod
So you want to add exterior lighting that shines on the ground when you drive, why? This is a car modification that makes no sense. You don’t get to enjoy it, except when you’re not driving. Instead of adding lights that show up on the ground for the world to see, add something to the inside that you might enjoy instead.
When it comes to car modifications that you can make to your vehicle. These five are in the “just don’t” category. Avoid being the person that irritates the entire neighborhood with an eyesore and ear-splitting car when it’s not called for. There are much better ways to improve your car than these five.
