Saving the Planet in the Kia Niro

Saving the Planet in the Kia Niro

If you want to join the crowd that enjoys using less fuel and driving hybrid models of the cars on the market, but you don’t want to give up comfort or interior versatility, you should choose the Kia Niro. This small and active hatchback model offered by Kia is one that’s filled with fantastic materials, a design you’ve been after, and the items that will certainly allow you to head out on the road with the pride you feel of driving a car that helps to reduce your carbon footprint as you drive.

When you take a look at the Kia Niro at your nearby Kia dealership you’re going to see a hatchback that offers you the understated styling you want in an attractive and athletic form. This car has a ride height that makes you feel like it could be considered a small SUV while also being offered with items that help protect it if you choose to take it out on the lighter trails in your area. The Niro is practical but fun and certainly able to give you the versatility you need to have the drive that will be right for you every day.

Packed with Features and Efficiency

The Kia Niro is one of the most affordable hybrid models you’re going to find and this little car is able to offer you a variety of trims to choose from. The right trim to start with is the LX which offers you keyless entry, push-button starting, the UVO3 infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a seven-inch touchscreen, rear-view camera, Bluetooth, dual-zone automatic climate controls and much more. Check out the Touring model with its Advanced Technology Package and 18-inch wheels that are just a couple of the items you can expect when you start moving up the trims of the Niro.

The Kia Niro Hybrid is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine plus a 1.56-kWh lithium-ion polymer battery to give you up to 52 mpg in the city. The plug-in version uses the same engine with the Atkinson cycle plus a 44.5-kW permanent magnet synchronous motor to give you some EV driving distance to increase the overall fuel mileage of this little car. Both powertrains are attached to a six-speed dual clutch automatic transmission to make sure you can have a hybrid that doesn’t feel at all like a typical hybrid on the road.

You want a car that can offer you the efficiency and qualities of an excellent hybrid model, but you don’t want to have the feeling of hybrid driving. Let the Kia Niro be the right choice for you when you see the size, shape, features, powertrain, and qualities offered that make this little car the one that has the characteristics you’re after. Come in and see your nearby Kia dealer and see if this can be the car that you’re going to drive when it’s time to head out on the roads in your area.
