The Lexus RX Getting Bigger for the Future

The Lexus RX Getting Bigger for the Future

Some of the largest SUV models on the market have impressed and amazed us for years with the fact that so many have offered us the choice between a typical wheelbase and a longer wheelbase version. This choice for those that want a bit more comfort for the drive makes a huge difference and allows us to know we can have a vehicle that will be more for the drive. With this in mind, one of our favorite luxury brands has informed us they will bring a longer wheelbase model of one of their SUVs to the market as well.

If you attend the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show later this month you’re going to be presented with a new and impressive model at the Lexus booth. This booth will feature an elongated model of the three-row SUV from Lexus, which is the RX that we love to enjoy on the roads. This longer model will give us more of what we want when looking for a large SUV that can make everyone comfortable inside the cabin for the drive that’s enjoyed out on the roads that we drive in a luxury SUV.

What do we know?

Currently, we don’t know much about the new RX that will be longer. This SUV will be called the RX 350L and it will offer us three rows of seats for the ride and be able to give us both a gasoline model at this trim level or a hybrid model at the RX 450hL model. This is the SUV that has helped to create the luxury SUV segment and has continued to give us an amazing ride for the past twenty years. The SUV is expected to retain its stylish appearance and offer more flexibility in the cabin for the passengers you take along with you.

Originally the new Lexus RX models were expected to debut at the Tokyo Motor Show, but that never happened. Instead, we get to see the benefit of witnessing the debut of this new SUV in Los Angeles at the end of the month. That might be the perfect situation with the love affair we have in the US for the larger vehicles that are built and offered for the drive we want on the roads we travel. This seems like an SUV that’s poised and ready for us to drive and experience in the US when we want to enjoy a versatile and capable model.

When you want to understand the mechanics of this SUV, you’ll see an identical powertrain offering to the smaller RX models. The RX 350L will use the 3.5-liter V6 engine that offers u 295 horsepower for the drive while the 450hL is built to add two electric motors to the V6 engine to upgrade the power to the 308 horsepower level. We’re going to learn more about this SUV when it arrives in Los Angeles at the end of the month to show off what Lexus has created that we’re sure to want to drive.
