If it has wheels and moves, we want to race it. While we can look at some of the top series in the world such as Formula One and NASCAR with admiration for what those drivers and teams are doing, it can be a lot of fun to participate in racing yourself. There are several different racing series offered around the world that are created out of the joy of racing and for the fun and entertainment that will amaze you and give you a few laughs along the way so that you can have some fun doing what you love.
Here are a few wacky and fun racing series you can enjoy:
Extreme Barbie Jeep Racing
–Here is a racing series for those that are still kids at heart. Adults put themselves on Barbie Jeep models that were built for children ages 3-8 years old, and hurl themselves down a variety of hill course that can offer some fun. The only rule with this series is that you have to make it to the bottom of the hill with some part of the vehicle still intact.
Dodge Fun
Dajiban Racing – You would think this race would include a powerful car like the Dodge Charger, but this is a race of Dodge vans, which the term Dajiban means in Japan, and is a hysterical race of these big, bulky, and slow vehicles that aren’t made to be raced around a track at all. These vans are mods of the 90’s-era work vans that can be a lot of fun to watch and even enter if you happen to have a Dodge work van that you don’t mind tearing up at the track.
Jaguar EV SUV Racing
–Electric racing is becoming more popular as we see more EV models added to the market. This series makes use of the EV SUV that’s offered by Jaguar, called the I-Pace. While it might not be as comical as some of the other racing series, watching nearly silent vehicles racing around the track and you can get involved if you have an FIA license.
Power Racing Series Fun
–Using the Power Wheels vehicles offered on sale at your nearby toy store you can have the fun you want in this series. You’re allowed to soup up the vehicle as much as you want for $500 with an engine and better steering, but you have to keep the wheels, tires, and chassis that came with the original car to give you the ride you want around a course with other maniacs.
European Truck Racing Championship
–This is also known as super-truck racing and it pits 18-wheelers against each other in a variety of ways on road courses around Europe. These big brutes are able to drive around and end up near the edge of physics where they might tip over or have to figure out how to drift around some of the corners found at these tracks. This is certainly a racing series filled with entertain aspects for you.
The United States Lawnmower Racing Association Fun
–Even though these vehicles were originally made to mow the lawns around the neighborhoods at a slow pace while you enjoy a drink, this association was created to allow those that wanted more power and speed out of their lawnmowers to have a lot of fun driving around a track in souped-up models that are amazing.
Piaggio Ape Tuk-Tuk Racing
–If you want to admire the stability, or lack thereof, of three-wheeled pickup trucks on the track, this is the racing series for you. There are different ways these trucks can be upgraded and improved to offer more power for the drive, but the racing is humorous and something you need to see to believe.
Snowmobile Water Drag Racing
–Here is a racing series that seems to be just as crazy as the creation of a sport of hitting a small ball into a little hole many yards away. Taking a snowmobile that’s built to be driven in the winter and making use of it during the summer on the water is ingenious and something that can be witnessed in the New Hampshire area if you want to see something crazy and fun.
Yong Racing Series
–This is a brand we don’t normally think about, but if you travel to New Zealand, you might be able to see these vehicles racing around the track to give you a look at some amazing models that take on the tracks. The goal is to keep costs low which means that all the vehicles are built the same and the difference is in the driver behind the wheel.
Figure-Eight Chain Racing
–One car has an engine that works but no brakes while the other car has a dead engine but has brakes. These two cars are chained together and then driven around the track in a figure-eight form which can make it more possible you’re going to have an accident and run into other drivers.
