BMW i Sub-Brand Showing Amazing New Models

BMW's i Sub-Brand Shows Amazing New Models

The BMW i sub-brand is working on the development of technology and new driving dynamics for the automotive industry to be amazed by.

A few years have gone by since we saw the future of what BMW wants to create and develop for us on the market with the i3 and i8 that were both impressive in their own rights. The trouble with developing a pair of models and then sitting back to watch how they are received and simply adding a few small upgrades is that we’re looking for the next big step in this development.

There’s no doubt that BMW has done everything possible to create new and impressive items for the driving enjoyment we want to have on the road with this new i sub-brand, even if they haven’t added anything to the production lineup yet.

While we grumble about the lack of newness for this area of the BMW family, the Frankfurt Motor Show that has recently passed gave us a look at a new pair if BMW models that will be that next step forward for the electrified models this luxury automaker has developed.

The BMW i Sub-Brand Shows up and Shows Off

As the home turf of the auto show world, the perfect place for BMW to bring new items to the stage was at this Frankfurt show.

The team came with a pair of models that can certainly allow us to see how the development of the i sub-brand has grown and certainly allow us to relax and know that BMW hasn’t forgotten the importance of the future of the automotive world, which points to nearly every model being electrified on the market. The two models that were brought to the stage were the i Vision Dynamics Concept and the X7 i Performance Concept.

BMW i Vision Dynamics Concept

While both of these models are concept vehicles, the importance of what they can bring to the market is unmistakable. the i Vision Dynamics Concept is a futuristic EV sedan that is built to rival the Tesla Model S. This car showed up and offered a range of 373 miles and a top speed of 120 mph to make it one of the attention-grabbing models at this show, giving us the idea this could become a choice you would have in the future when you’re shopping in this class.

BMW Crossing Over Electrically

As for the BMW X7 i Performance Concept, this is a trim offered for the newest full-size SUV that will be offered from BMW in the upcoming months. This impressive SUV offers a bold design and a style that we’ll love and want to experience on the roads and out on the trails when desired.

These two new concepts allow us to know that BMW has continued to work hard to develop the EV models that we’re going to see on the road as the i sub-brand continues to grow. We can expect to see some form of hybrid or EV added to nearly every model from BMW in the near future to continue this growth.
