Another New Honda Concept to Get Excited About

Another New Honda Concept to Get Excited About

We saw the new Urban EV Concept from Honda make its way across the stage at the Frankfurt Motor Show to capture our attention and imagination. This new concept is one that allowed us to admire a throwback style and feel while adding a generous amount of futuristic style and technology to be a concept we can certainly appreciate and desire. If you thought this was all Honda had to offer, you’d be wrong as this brand looks to bring another new model to the Tokyo Motor Show.
The new concept we’ll see make its way across the stage in Tokyo will be the Sport EV concept that appears to be a close relative to the Urban EV concept. With bulky and round style for the surfaces you will be able to notice the look and feel of the future of the brand in this new model. This car shows up with a low center of gravity, the same matte paint we saw in Frankfurt, a smooth style, and a wider stance to make sure you can drive this car and have the handling and performance you would want on the roads.

What does the Sport EV Concept Bring to the Show?

The team at Honda has followed suit with some of the other brands on the market by developing a dedicated EV architecture that can make sure you have a powerful and refined electric drivetrain. With this new EV concept the expectation is to offer seamless and exciting acceleration to have the ride that’s right and the performance that will make a huge difference for the experience on the road. This new Sport EV concept appears to be grinning with delight, which is what we expect it may offer if it makes its way to the production line in the future.

To look at this car you’ll see a unique appearance with the way the B-pillars wrap up along the roof and across the windshield header. This new concept also features the Honda Automated Network Assistant which uses the AI platform that Honda has developed. This feature will allow the car to communicate seamlessly with the driver and learn the driving behaviors to mimic your own driving style when you allow the concept to engage the autonomous technology that will eventually become one of the added technological aspects of this car.

Will we see the Sport EV concept offered as a production model in the future? That’s still to be seen, but it certainly can be the case and this impressive model will offer us what we’re looking for. The hope is that this new concept will capture our attention and imagination in much the same way as the Urban EV concept that was part of what we saw on the stages in Germany last month. We’ll know even more about this car when we see it on the stage in Tokyo later this month to give us an idea of what the future holds for Honda.
